Our Ranch

Penland Ranch LLC of Camarillo, California, has been breeding fancy gray Quarter Horses for many years, beginning with our AQHA stallion, Colonel Citation (Colonel Freckles x Miss Belle Plain). "Casper" accumulated 161.5 points in halter, calf roping, heading, heeling, working cowhorse, and team penning; earned his AQHA Superiors in heading and heeling; and was 1992 High Point AQHA Stallion in Heading and Heeling. Casper personified the type of competitive all-around Quarter Horse we breed for.

Though Casper is gone, we continue the tradition of breeding good looking, versatile, Quarter Horses for the performance arena. We carefully select stallions from all over the country to cross with our broodmares and offer prospects for sale as young horses and horses in training.
